Regarding Christian Unity:
Christian unity is not the result of everyone agreeing on
the same teaching. It is the result of each believer
worshipping the same Lord.
Unity in Christ is only achieved if each individual believer
is set free to personal and unhindered access for themselves
in Jesus Christ.
Believers are to be of ONE mind. But whose mind? Paul
tells us we are to have the mind of Christ.
One-mindedness is never achieved by one believer
surrendering his mind to another. It is achieved by both
believers individually surrendering their minds to Christ.
In the world, unity is attained by stripping individuals of
their personal walk. In Christ, unity is attained by setting
individuals free in their personal walk with God.
One of the most oft-repeated errors of God's people is the
idea that the individual cannot walk with God except
through the group.
We are not in Christ because we are in the church. We
are in the church because we are in Christ. And if we
are in the church, we will allow God to use us as He sees
fit as a member of His Body.
